Andretti Steinbrenner Racing was formed as a partnership between four-time Verizon IndyCar Series champions Andretti Autosport and newly formed Steinbrenner Racing. The jointly-operated team makes its maiden journey fielding the No. 98 entry in the Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires championship for the 2017 season. Established in 2016, Steinbrenner Racing is an American open-wheel race team headed by George Michael Steinbrenner IV, grandson of the legendary New York Yankees owner, George Steinbrenner. A life-long racing enthusiast, George Michael Steinbrenner IV started his involvement in motor racing as an employee at Bryan Herta Rallysport in the Red Bull Global Rallycross Series and has transformed his experiences into team ownership. Returning from the European racing ranks, second-generation racer Colton Herta will pilot the No. 98 joint-entry in 2017, marking his rookie season in the US-based Indy Lights program.

Carlin is one of the most successful teams in junior motorsport, with race winning success in championships such as British F3, Porsche Supercup, World Series by Nissan, Formula Renault 3.5, FIA Formula 3 European Championship, GP3 Series and GP2 Series.   

Some of today’s most successful drivers have passed through the doors of Carlin, including racers in F1, IndyCar, WTCC and DTM.  F1 drivers such as Sebastian Vettel, Daniel Ricciardo, Kevin Magnussen and Carlos Sainz amongst others, add up to a third of the current F1 field who are former Carlin alumni. IndyCar drivers Will Power, Charlie Kimball, Takuma Sato, Graham Rahal, Josef Newgarden, Mikhail Aleshin and Max Chilton all raced with Carlin in their junior careers before heading to the top US single seater series.  

Part of the Capsicum group, the management team at Carlin provides a great combination of business skills and racing knowledge.  Ensuring a stable business base for the team are CEO Grahame (Chily) Chilton, long-term motorsport enthusiast, and Rupert Swallow, Managing Director, complimenting Trevor Carlin’s wealth of experience and knowledge in motorsport.

With race and championship winning success in Europe, the team expanded its racing interests to include Indy Lights in 2015 and are the reigning 2016 Indy Lights team and driver champions.

Juncos Racing is a championship winning Mazda Road to Indy team running in Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires and the Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires.

Juncos Racing was established by Ricardo Juncos in 1997 as a small formula car race program based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. After times became financially tough, Juncos relocated to the United States in 2002 where he worked as a mechanic for a small karting team based in Florida. Juncos was then able to open the doors to his own shop and competed in karting series throughout the United States. 

In 2009, Juncos Racing entered the former Star Mazda Championship (current Pro Mazda Championship), where the team had great success in their maiden season, finishing second in the Driver's Championship and third in the Team Championship. The following year the team captured their first championship in the series with Indiana native Conor Daly. Fast forward to 2015 where Juncos Racing had their most successful season to date, capturing the 2015 Indy Lights Driver's Championship with current Verizon Indy Car Series driver Spencer Pigot, and also claiming the Pro Mazda Team Championship.  

The mission of Juncos Racing is to develop young drivers from around the world into the next level of their racing career via the Juncos Racing Driver Development Program. Through this program, the team not only works with drivers on track to improve their skills behind the wheel, but also gives them the tools needed to understand the engineering and mechanics of the race car. Drivers who have participated in the program and have gone on to compete in the next level include Peter Dempsey, Conor Daly, Connor De Phillippi, Chase Austin, Kyle Kaiser, Nicolas Dapero, and Spencer Pigot.

Schmidt Peterson Motorsports (SPM) was established in 2001 and is owned by former IndyCar driver Sam Schmidt and businessman Ric Peterson. Schmidt was paralyzed (quad) in 2000 after an accident during testing at Walt Disney World Speedway in Orlando, Fla. SPM fields cars in the IndyCar Series, including the Indianapolis 500, and Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires.

SPM is the most successful team in Indy Lights history with eight championships.
